About me
Hi, I’m Josh Coulson—former yacht captain, now keeping things grounded with professional chimney care. As your friendly local chimney sweep, I bring a strong focus on safety, reliability, and attention to detail to every job. Whether it’s a Routine Sweep, Flue liner replacement or full on stove installation, I make sure it’s done properly, with care and respect for your home.

- Chimney Sweeping
Trained with and using state of the art equipment, ensuring maximum care for your flue, whilst working efficiently and cleanly.
- Birds Nest Removal
Between 1st September and January 31st i will clear vacant nests from flues. This is in line with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
This is charged half hourly, as they can sometimes fill wheelie bins taking a while to clear. (Please note, if you suspect a nest let me know when booking as I may have to return at a later date due to schedule).
- Stove Installations
2025 is my first year installing. I already have some exciting projects in the diary. I look forward to adding a gallery of installed stoves to this website.
- Stove Servicing & Maintenance
During every chimney sweep, I carry out a thorough inspection and include routine maintenance checks to keep your fireplace or stove in top condition. My focus is on preventative maintenance—catching small issues before they become costly problems.
If you notice rust forming, a misshaped baffle or grate, cracked or thinning fire bricks, or foggy glass, don’t worry! I can source and fit genuine replacement parts to restore your stove or fireplace to full working order.
- Flue CCTV Inspections
During a lined sweep I like to follow up with my 4K flue cam to check all correct and safe. I sleep better that way! But should you need a flue inspection I can produce a report.
- Chimney Stack Work
My chimney stack work is seasonal and location specific - March through to September is the best time of year!
I prefer to keep this work local.
